HSAG has a governing board that oversees policy and direction for our Medicare Quality Innovation Network-Quality Improvement Organization (QIN-QIO). Our Board of Directors has been assembled in accordance with Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) regulations and includes:

  • Representatives from a variety of healthcare settings.
  • At least one consumer representative who is a Medicare beneficiary.
  • A membership under which at least two-thirds of its members are independent and have not been compensated by the QIO for nongoverning body services.
  • A membership of which QIO officers comprise no more than 20 percent.
  • A cap on consecutive governing body member service time of six years.
