Thursday, July 11, 2019, 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. PT.
This learning event will address how to meaningfully engage and communicate with patients and families when serious and unexpected harm does occur. More specifically, participants will better understand:
1) Expectations for the patient and the patient’s role in root cause analysis.
2) How to choose the “right” patient and family advisor to participate in a RCA committee.
3) How to effectively train and prepare the patient and family advisors for root cause analysis – and similarly how to prepare other RCA committee members to partner with PFAs.
4) The many benefits of utilizing CANDOR to create a culture of safety and PFE.
