Do you need some tips and guidance to improve language access for your Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) patients? This webinar will define language access from the AAPI perspective and review the legal requirements for providing program/service access to individuals with limited English proficiency (LEP). Participants also will learn about challenges healthcare providers encounter when implementing a language access plan, as well as the tools and resources available for effective language service programs for the AAPI community.
This webinar is part of a series of quarterly patient engagement webinars hosted by Health Services Advisory Group in partnership with the Patient Engagement Learning Center of the Ohio Patient-Centered Primary Care Collaborative (OPCPCC). The webinar will begin with a half-hour presentation at 12:15 p.m. and will conclude with a 15-minute Q&A session. H. Valerie Huang, MA, CHI™ Nationwide Children’s Interpreter Services Program Manager, will serve as the presenter. Participation is limited to the first 150 who register.
