Join your peers and Health Services Advisory Group (HSAG) for the  first Arizona Nursing Home Quality Care Collaborative (NHQCC) Statewide Outcomes Congress.

Packed agenda including, presentation by keynote speaker, Michael Cofield, PhD, dedicated section to Quality Assurance & Performance Improvement (QAPI) as the framework for best practice sharing, and networking.


Objectives
Describe the importance of resiliency in leadership and how it applies to the nursing-home setting.
Analyze Arizona case studies that used QAPI to improve resident satisfaction, reduce the use of antipsychotic medications, and achieve a quality measure composite score of 6 percent or less. Review Arizona’s quality measures and identify the next steps and goals for the Arizona NHQCC in 2017 and beyond.Michael Cofield PhD

Speaker's Bio
Dr. Michael Cofield, PhD, is a Diplomate in Clinical Health Psychology with the American Board of Professional Psychology, and a Fellow with the American Academy of Clinical Health Psychology. He has been a leader in the fields of Behavioral Medicine and Employee Counseling, and served as the Director of Behavioral Medicine for two Phoenix-area medical centers for more than 25 years; was an adjunct research scientist in the area of Alzheimer's disease and related neuropsychological disorders; and holds Associate Fellow status in Cognitive-Behavioral/ Rational psychotherapy. He is also a member of the American Psychological Association, National Academy of Neuropsychology and Society for Behavioral Medicine.
