Join Health Services Advisory Group (HSAG) to learn about Antibiotic Stewardship in Nursing Homes and to discuss a brief introduction to Clostridium difficile Infection (CDI) part two of the Nursing Home Training Sessions created by the Quality Innovation Network National Coordinating Center (QIN NCC), under contract with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), developed with support from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Presenters: Kyle Campbell, PharmD, MS, Vice President, Pharmacy & Quality Measurement, HSAG

Dr. Campbell currently directs the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Measure & Instrument Development and Support (MIDS) tasks related to the National Impact Assessment of CMS Quality and Efficiency Measures and Inpatient Psychiatric Facility Outcome and Process Measure Development and Maintenance. In addition, he oversees the project design and implementation for the Adverse Drug Events (ADEs) task for the Quality Innovation Network-Quality Improvement Organization (QIN-QIO). Dr. Campbell has served as Executive Director for the CMS Medication Measures Special Innovation Project, which resulted in the development and National Quality Forum endorsement of 11 performance measures related to medication management and ADEs in various CMS programs. Dr. Campbell earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Florida, and his Master of Science in Botany and Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of South Florida. He recently completed training for Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and Lean methods for healthcare quality improvement. He is a registered pharmacist, serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor for the University of Florida College of Pharmacy, and was a member of the Federal Interagency Workgroup for the development of the Health and Human Services (HHS) National Action Plan for Adverse Drug Event Prevention. He is also a member the American Society of Health System Pharmacists, where he serves on a technical expert panel related to identification of ADEs in the hospital setting.
