Incentivizing Consistent Assignment: A supported approach to quality improvement in nursing homes

Please join us for a discussion to learn about state programs in Tennessee and Utah that provide incentives for nursing homes to implement consistent assignment. Panelists will discuss how they are leveraging their incentive programs to catalyze improvements in quality of care and quality of life for nursing home residents. Their programs each reflect attention to common challenges, including the burden of documentation for nursing homes, data quality, and incorporating a staged implementation.

Panelists:
Patti Killingsworth, Assistant Commissioner | Long Term Services and Supports, TennCare
Jeremiah Morton, Director of Value Based Purchasing | Long Term Services and Supports, TennCare
Trent Brown, Nursing Facility Quality Improvement Program Manager | Utah Department of Health
Beth Hercher, QI Advisor | Qsource

Facilitator:
Julia Doherty, Senior Research Director | L&M Policy Research, Coauthor of Pay for Performance in Five States: Lessons for the Nursing Home Sector Public Administration Review
