As Vice President, Ms. Mayo provides oversight and direction for, and balances daily operations of, multiple Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) contracts, including the End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) National Coordinating Center, the Kidney Community Emergency Response (KCER) contract, five ESRD Networks, the ESRD Treatment Choices Learning Collaborative, and the Organ Procurement Organization Quality Intervention Innovation Project. She offers more than 30 years of experience in healthcare, including both management and patient care practice. Additionally, Ms. Mayo’s experience includes work at all levels of quality improvement organizations, including with statewide, regional, and national CMS contracts. Under her leadership, HSAG has successfully implemented multiple national projects, including those focused on dialysis, kidney transplantation, and organ donation; software training and development; human-centered design; disaster preparedness and response; patient-centeredness and complaints; health equity; measure development; and data reporting. She has provided more than 20 years of volunteer board service to patient and professional organizations, is published in trade and peer-reviewed journals, presents nationally on various topics, and has been honored with awards for service to Medicare beneficiaries from CMS and patient organizations. Ms. Mayo received her Master of Science in Healthcare Administration from the University of Central Florida.
