Description

AB 2511 became law in California September 29, 2022, requiring California’s skilled nursing facilities to be compliant with updated backup power rules by January 1, 2024.  These rules extend the requirement for on-site backup power fuel supply to a minimum of 96 hours and backup power systems are now required to include building cooling systems to maintain a safe temperature throughout an outage.

This session will include expert speakers from CAHF, Department of Health Care Access and Information (HCAi), and CDPH. NOTE: While AB 2511 is specific to California, there will be discussion on emergency power which is applicable to all states.
